Your words always make my soul stir with recognition, friend... and I love this poem from Andrea Gibson, so much. Thank you for reminding me of it. It's apt for right now. xx
Phoenix my friend, you seem to come across many bits of information that have been unseen by so many, so many that can use these pearls of wisdom. truly I think it is the end of the season like rolling over in the early morn before the light comes and knowing it's not time yet to arise from slumber we still hold.
Thank you for these gems Phoenix, they're solidly in place within me.
Rick, it's so good to hear from you. It sounds like you've been in a tough season, and I only hope you're finding community where you can. It might take me awhile to respond to all your thoughtful comments, but please know I read them and my heart is grateful. Sending love and solidarity ✨🌅
No problem Phoenix… reply as needed, whenever you can… Hope you’re doing well, especially within the storm system and all… I’m not sure when I’ll do this or how I’ll word it, but I’m going to be asking for subscribers in some small-ish quantity so I can start doing some live things occasionally ! When I do this I’ll have something saying if you’d like to donate that’d be great, but I won’t be charging for subscriptions as I don’t really think it’ll be that immense of a situation… Maybe what some have as a “Buy me coffee” thing… I know I can’t purchase all the subscriptions I want to, so I think I’m just going to be donating something each month to a different ‘Stack, so to speak…so if you could find it possible, I’d really appreciate it Phoenix as I think I’m only 3-4 away from Ss allowing it for me… Be well my friend…
So glad O'Donohue's language of the heart is speaking to you, friend. As you know, he's one of my faves. And I love this bard's reminder for witches. I also love that you are just doing your thing, regardless of metrics. Nothing is more powerful than coming from your own essential place. Metrics be damned. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Metrics be damned, indeed <3 I know how much you get this, friend. And I'm so grateful to you for introducing me to O'Donohue's language of the heart... it's what I've needed right now. xx
Thank you for posting these today. I'm doing well physically, mostly, but the days still feel grey and January still feels long. I take things one day at a time but anxiety settles in too quickly with me, and the regret is here as well. Another year and still flawed me. Still waiting as usual for spring. I know it will be here soon.
Spring is coming... but for now, I hope you can find some rest and comfort in being tucked away in a place of hibernation and preparation... It's ok to be just where you are.
I love these poems so much. Thank you for sharing, my dear friend. And the photo is beautiful.
May the losses be mingled with joy, may we find our own rhythms in tune with the earth again, may we hear songs that make us dance through it all. ❤️
I also have a poem for you, by Andrea Gibson:
“I know you think this world is too dark to even dream in color,
but I’ve seen flowers bloom at midnight.
I’ve seen kites fly in gray skies
and they were real close to looking like the sunrise,
and sometime it takes the most wounded wings
the most broken things
to notice how strong the breeze is,
how precious the flight.”
